Find listed below all of the aircraft types that might be used in our flight schedule. Because our schedule changes continually to reflect the real world schedule, some of these may not be represented in our currect schedule. But even then, such aircraft can still be used by substituting them on routes that are scheduled other similar class aircraft.
For our organizational purposes, aircraft types are grouped together into families. For example the 738 (737-800) is in the 737 family. Further, all families are grouped into aircraft levels, the 737 Family is grouped into the N-Level (narrowbody jet) aircraft level.
Because the real world source for our schedule uses IATA aircraft types, that is what we default to for primary use.
There are also corresponding ICAO aircraft type designations, but there is not an ICAO designation for every IATA type. Every aircraft is designated by at least one IATA type -- however a number of different IATA type designations could refer to the same aircraft. (example, ERJ & ER4, or CRJ & CR2) These are just vageries of the real-world airline schedule. Additonally, for some Classic aircraft we had to invent an IATA type designation, as one never existed.
As it mirrors United's real world schedule, UVA's schedule is very extensive. We also have generous aircraft substitution rules within an aircraft level group. So, pilots have enormous choice for not only choosing a flight, but also for picking an aircraft for that flight.
We also have aircraft and schedules across multiple eras, from classic to modern. Below the aircraft are first grouped by eras, and then sorted by level and type.
Unlike some VAs that are focused on just a few aircraft or on a single platform, our schedule contains flights for more than a hundred different aircraft types, across many thousands of different routes. Users may be flying anything from FS9 to FSX to P3Dv3 to P3Dv4 to P3Dv5 to FS2020 to XPlane 10 or 11.
It is neither practical, nor really desirable, to try to provide aircraft or liveries for download, in particular as there is a wealth of freeware aircraft available on various flight simulation sites (eg. avsim.com, flightsim.com), and of course many payware aircraft as well, if that is your preference.
